A delightful read. : The Glass Wall: Book One (Volume 1)
This book is like a mishmash of other fantasy books I have read before, particularly "The City of Fallen Angels" by Cassandra Clare combined with some elements of Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight". It's the usual growing up, young adult sort of story, except in the main character's case it involves some inhuman creatures, one of whom is either in love with her for no clear surmise or is just schizophrenic.
However, I am quite a sucker when it comes to these sorts of human angst stories, so I found it provocative sufficient to keep me going until I finished it. The way it built up into its climax wasn't so skillful or imaginative (the good ol' deus ex machina coming into play), but I would say it was pretty fair considering the rest of the story forewarned me that it was going to end up like that, anyway.
If you're downloading this free book expecting a astonishing read, you may be in for a disappointment. But if you're coming in with a view to some mindless entertainment with a hint of a plot, then this one will suit your purposes very well.
